Privacy Policy

Overview

Blockhours is a personal flight logbook application. We aim to keep the app simple and privacy-conscious. Blockhours does not require you to create a Blockhours account.

Information you enter

The app may contain information you enter or import for your logbook, such as flight dates, flight numbers, aircraft information, airports, block times, crew names, notes and related flight-hour statistics. This information is used to provide the app's logbook features.

Device permissions and Apple services

Depending on the features you choose to use, Blockhours may request access to:

• Location — for location-related app features and local weather information.
• Calendar — to read a calendar you select for flight-related information.
• Camera — when you choose to scan flight information. Images used for scanning are not intended to be retained by Blockhours after processing.

Weather information may be provided through Apple WeatherKit. Apple's services are subject to Apple's own privacy practices.

Data collection by the developer

Blockhours does not intentionally transmit your personal flight-logbook contents to the developer for advertising or sale, and the developer does not sell your personal data. The app does not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Backups and exports

If you choose to create, restore, share or export a backup or logbook file, that file may contain information from your logbook. You control where such files are saved or shared and are responsible for protecting exported copies.

Data retention and deletion

Logbook information stored by the app remains under your control. You can delete entries within the app. Removing the app may remove locally stored app data, subject to any backups or synchronization provided by your device or Apple services.

Children

Blockhours is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-operated account or advertising service.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Blockhours or its data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when appropriate.
